Coming Soon: New APY x Mud Australia Release!
Pieces will be released online at 3pm AEST Friday 27th June.
We’re thrilled to present the newest addition to the Mud Australia x APY Art Centre Collective collaboration.
The striking new porcelain forms are inspired by traditional Piti — vessels used by Anangu women to carry food and water for generations. These powerful shapes, steeped in cultural meaning, have been reimagined in fine porcelain and adorned with the bold, contemporary marks of APY artists.
This upcoming release continues a proud collaboration between Mud Australia and APYACC — a partnership grounded in creative excellence, cultural respect, and meaningful employment for First Nations men and women.
With an initial release of 50 forms, we set a bold intention to scale this model — creating a sustainable, long-term income stream for APY artists through the design, creation and sale of strikingly beautiful, culturally significant ceramic products. These are pieces that artists and artworkers are deeply proud to share with the world — and importantly, created under a model where they remain the primary beneficiaries of their creativity, cultural integrity and hard work.
In line with previous releases, pieces are unglazed artworks, for display only (non-functional pieces)
Available online only and only within Australia.
