In this painting, Tanya depicts the Seven Sisters story,This is a significant Tjukurpa (cultural law) that describes the intergenerational strength of Aṉangu women learning from and protecting one another. Seven Sisters (Pleiades) are chased by a trickster (Orion) across the land and into the night sky. Throughout the ordeal, the elder sister protects the younger sisters from his tricks, eventually escaping and flying up into the sky.
