In the artwork Kungkarangkalpa Tjukula Tjukurpa, Ingrid Treacle has painted the Seven Sisters story. This is a narrative about a group of women who travel from Western Australia to New South Wales, turning into stars at the completion of their journey. Ingrid paints a section of this journey in which the sisters are travelling through the Gibson Desert. As they walk the women become thirsty and stop at a rock hole to have a drink of water before continuing their trek.
