Chriselda Farmer is Anangu, an Aboriginal person from the Central and Western Desert area of Australia who currently lives at Amata. She grew up in the communities of Tjukurla and Docker River where she attended the Nyangatjatjara High School. Chriselda has been practicing her art for many years but more recently has shown a talent for punu carving and working with Tjanpi Desert weavers. She is currently painting Bush Medicine with knowledge taughht to her by her grandmother. Her skills have been passed on through the Tjukurpa, the Law and way of life governing her country.
