BIOGRAPHY
Sally Ann grew up in her grandmother’s country near Nyapari in the APY lands, South Australia. Her grandmother Kunmanara (Wingu) Tingima was a senior law woman, ngankari (traditional healer) and a celebrated painter at Tjungu Palya. Sally Ann learnt to paint from her grandmother, she paints the country Kura Ala. Kura Ala is a special place just for women, it is a space for special inma (ceremonies) and a place for healing.
