BIOGRAPHY
Rosina grew up in Wataruu, a remote community in the Anangu Pitjantjatjara Yankunytjatjara (APY) Lands in South Australia. As a young child she and her family moved to Kaltjiti/Fregon, where she continues to live and paint ngura (country). Many of Rosina’s traditional painting techniques were passed down to her by her grandmother, Imitjala Pollard, though she is also influenced by her her close family, who paint in the studio with her side-by-side. Rosina’s work is distinguished through her use of bold and earthy-coloured palettes, using abstract imagery to depict the surrounding landscape of Kaltjiti/Fregon.
