BIOGRAPHY

Celena Tunkin is a talented emerging artist based in Fregon community. Celena paint's the Kalaya Tjukurpa (Emu Dreaming) story which has been passed to her from her maternal grandmother, Kay Baker.

Celena comes from a strong family line of established painters, her mother Patricia Tunkin, her grandmother Kay, and grandfather Jimmy Baker are important artists for the APY region. Celena was born and raised in Kanpi and now lives in Fregon with her young family.
