BIOGRAPHY
Angela Burton lives in Amata with her family and paints at Tjala Arts. She is the daughter of senior woman and revered artist Kunmanara Wawiriya Burton. Like her mother, Angela paints her country on the west APY Lands and its cultural stories.
Angela also works on collaborative paintings under the Burton Women’s Collaborative banner with her family, Maureen Douglas, Beverly Burton, Nyanu Burton, Tanya Burton and Cathy Burton, following on in the footsteps of their late matriarch Wawiriya.
