Marion Baker is a Ngaanyatjarra and Pitjantjatjara woman living in Port Augusta. Her father’s Country is Mimili, and her mother’s Country is Kunamata.
Marion is an early-career artist who began painting at Umoona Arts in September 2021. Following her relocation to Port Augusta, she joined the Port Augusta Aboriginal Arts Mob (PAAAM), where she continues to develop her artistic voice.
A respected cultural woman, Marion strongly believes in the transformative power of art making. Through her practice, she shares stories of her Country and culture with her family and community, keeping traditions alive and accessible for future generations.
