Naomi Kantjuriny’s work spans painting, basket making, hunting, and wood carving. Kantjuriny took to painting with remarkable ease and has been a prominent artist at Tjala Arts since 2001. Naomi Kantjuriny is also a Ngangkari - traditional healer. Ngangkari provide traditional healing treatments and practices of the mind, body and spirit that equal that of western medicine.
She has passed away now but the younger women and their granddaughters carry her story on for future generations.
