Katie paints the rugged bushlands that surround her home at Indulkana and also the landscape near her family’s Country at the Walatinna Homelands.
Her recent paintings depict the pilpara (ghost gums) that grow in the sandy creek beds.
"I like to paint the tree's, the Pilpira (Ghost Gums), that grow around our community, mostly along the dry Indulkana Creek bed. Our community is very beautiful, the Pilpira here are very old and hold the important tjukurpa for our community."
