Earthy, yet vibrant colours reflect the contours of the desert country around Fregon on the *APY Lands. The red of the earth is disncve where the ridges of sandhills and winding, dry creeks cut across the flat plains. Small hills and rockholes in the sandhills are all typical of the area. Spring showers create a perfect environment for the yellow and purple wildflowers. The spiky spinifex grass is tough and thrives in the harsh desert extremes. Meredith was born at Amata 150km west of Fregon. A versatile artist who works from the Kaltjiti Arts Centre, Meredith's work reflects a strong sense of place.
